“Stop the world”, “first attention”, “second attention” - here we are borrowing concepts from Don Juan and Carlos Castanada. The world of the first attention is one specific reality that tends to dominate our minds. The concept of deviating from the linear chronos model of time seems outlandish; most of us don’t realize there is another reality accessible. 

Think of the kairos model of time, the extended moment. Past and future become dimensions that are shut down for a while. You must stop your world, extinguish your first attention, in order to open the gates to the etheric dimensions, the second attention.
